2010 Classes And Rules All contestants must be a member of ROAR. You can sign-up at the track or go to http://www.roarracing.com/join.php to join. All electric classes must use hard case batteries (except Extreme). 2-cell class must use Roar Approved batteries. Bracket Class Any car is allowed You set your dial-in time ELECTRIC TOP ALCOHOL DRAGSTER (2-cell) BODY: Any 1/10-scale Dragster style Body REAR WING: 10” maximum wing height measured from the highest point on the wing, including side dams WEIGHT: 38 oz minimum weight WHEELBASE: 30” maximum wheelbase CHASSIS: 31" Maximum chassis length BATTERIES: Any ROAR APPROVED 2c Lipo "HARD CASE" with connectors (no hard soldering) Maximum voltage 8.44 volts. Maximum temperature 110 degrees Fahrenheit. MOTOR: Any mass-produced and commonly available (through a hobby shop or distributor) cobalt or neo brushless 10.5 Turn Sensored ROAR APPROVED motor allowed. Maximum motor can dimensions are 2.5 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches in length (measured from end bell to end bell) NO CUSTOM MOTORS ALLOWED WHEELS: 2" Minimum diameter rear wheel / 1" Minimum diameter front wheel Top Fuel Funny Car The funny car class is a combined nitro and electric class Electric cars can have up to 10 NiMh "Round" cells or up to a 3 cell HARD CASE Lipo pack. Brushless motors are allowed. Nitro cars can have up to a .21 motor, Motor mods allowed 40oz minimum weight Electric Top Fuel Dragster (3-cell) BODY: Any 1/10-scale Dragster style Body REAR WING: 10” maximum wing height measured from the highest point on the wing, including side dams WEIGHT: 40 oz minimum weight WHEELBASE: 30” maximum wheelbase CHASSIS: 31" Maximum chassis length MOTOR: Any mass-produced and commonly available (through a hobby distributor) cobalt or rare earth magnet based motor allowed (Brushless and brushed allowed). Maximum/Minimum motor can dimensions are 2.5 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches in length (measured from end bell to end bell) BATTERIES: Any 3c Lithium battery 12.64 maximum voltage. Maximum temperature 110 degrees Fahrenheit with connectors (no hard soldering). Hard Case only (NO SOFT CELL PACKS) Nitro Top Fuel Dragster 44oz minimum weight Extreme Class Anything goes, Nitro and Electric Points System MHRA CHAMPIONSHIP Contestants in each of the racing categories compete for the MHRA Championship title on the basis of total points won at MHRA events. MHRA EVENTS Winner 100 Runner-up 80 Third-round loser 60 Second-round loser 40 First-round loser 20 Additional points are awarded at MHRA events as follows: 10 points to contestants - #1 qualifying position acquired. 20 points for establishing an official ET record with a back up with in 1%. Qualifying positions earn points as follows: 1st 8 2nd 7 3rd 6 4th 5 5th & 6th 4 7th & 8th 3 9th thru 12th 2 13th thru 16th 1 |
