History was made today in Rialto California with something the Rc dragracing  world has never seen before. The Rainman Jim Schauer ran his electric rail in the 1.4 second range......TWICE!
Also 9 year old  first time racer Heather Millard beat up on all the guys and took home the money in the bracket class.

Jim Schauer's 1.46 Rail

As the sun rises over southern california the MHRA racers invade Rialto Speedway for the last time. With the smell of nitro and vht in the air it was time to get it on. The day started off with new's from Mike Smith that we are finally moving to a new The Pits track. The new track will be at the Orange Show in San Bernardino. On March 31st we will have a track preperation day to get the track up and running.

Now on to the racing action. We decided to run a test and tune for top fuel, we also ran a bracket class. A few cars made there way down the track with respectable times and the came the rainman. His first atempt with a new electric rail setup resaults in a 1.56 @88 mph. An exleant run with a all new setup in an old lockmen chassis.. So now with the pits buzzing after that run, on comes Alex G. Alex has been working on his car all winter and it pays off for him, he runs a 1.576 at 75 mph. A very nice run and a career best for ET for alex.

Let the fued begain, the Millard family made the trip from Arizona to join in the racing action. Troy Millard his wife(sorry forgot your name) and their 9 year old dauhter Heather Millard made passes down the track. It was the first time racing for Heather and  Miss Millard. So it was natrual to put them next to eachother for a little braging rights. I belive each got a win over eachother so I think there even.

During this time the rainman came back up to try and improve on his erlier time and he does just that. Frist 1.4 Second Pass EverHe blazes the track with a 1.514 @87.30 mph. Wow just wow, an awesome run by jimmy. That led us in to quailfying for the bracket class. Witch after everyones ran, jimmy comes up for his quailfying pass and history was made. Jimmy runs a blistering 1.470 @89.36 mph!!!! The first time in the history of rc dragracing a 1.4 second pass was made.

This led us in to the first round.  Where new comer heather millard wins her first round of competition. Troy Millard also moves on to the next round. Then comes Mr. 1.4 jimmy shauer and alex. Jimmy's dial-in was a 1.45!!! to alex's 2.40. Alex takes off first, get's to about half track then jimmy takes off and make history again running a 1.465 @ 91.89 mph!!!!! He becomes the first guy to run a 1.4 second pass twice back to back. Absolutly awesome!  He loses the round though due to a red light.

In the next round it was troy who won over alex in a very close race, and heather millard wins her second round over brian H. who broke out. That brings us to the final round where it is father vs. dauter. Troy Millard vs. HSecond 1.4 Pass Evereather Millard for all the money. Heather gets to leave first. The lights come down heather takes off, about half way down troy's lights come down he hits the trigger and nothing. Heather runs it threw and gets the win light. She beat up on the guys and takes home the money in her first race. Watch out for her this year.

To sum it all up it was a great history making day. The 1.4s have been reached, can they be touched again. With the move to a new track I say yes, it's just a matter of time. Again Congrats to heather on her first race/ win and a Big Congrats to Jim Shauer for doing what no other man has done before, reaching the 1.4s.
