Another race is in the books ladies and gentlemen. As always there was lots of competition and records being broken. Getting right to the action. In the experimental 2 cell class it was Chris Smith with a very impressive 1.72 pass to take top qualifier. Chris would meet up with number two qualifier Pat McDonald in the finals where Chris took the win with a 1.76 pass. In the Electric Top Fuel class(3cell) it was once again Chris Smith taking top qualifier with a record setting pass of 1.4385 seconds. Pat McDonald was number two qualifier with a 1.5578 second pass. Jim Schauer was right on Pat's heel's with a 1.5676 pass to take number three qualifier. When it came down to the finals it was Chris Smith against Pat McDonald, Chris would take the win and lower the record a little bit more with a 1.4314 second pass. In the always exciting always super competitive Funny car class it was Randy Spearing taking top qualifier with a record setting pass of a 1.5267 at 88.20 mph. Randys third qualifying run of a 1.5393 backed up that record. Not too far behind him was number two qualifier Mark Rollings with a 1.6718 at 84.07 mph. Randy was on a terror all day running a string of 1.5 second passes witch landed him in the finals against Kenny W. Randy would take the win dispite slowing to a 1.7209 second pass. In the Nitro Top Fuel class it was Mark Rollings taking the top qualifying position after a two month hiatus with a 1.7611 second pass. Glen Hunnel was not too far behined in the number two spot with a 1.8574 second pass. When it came down to the finals it was Glen Hunnel in his second final in a row against Jeff Walker. Glen would get the better of Jeff and take the win. This is Glen Hunnel's second event win in a row.
It was a fun day of friendly competition and great showmenship. With the season winding down and only two more races to go, the points chase is getting exciting. A few racers made leaps and bounds at this race. There no telling whats going to happen at the next one.
